Playing Papa Noel

At the Christmas party for La Casita (La Casa de Madres Cuidadores -- childcare center at the church), I was surprised by the opportunity to play Papa Noel for the chiquititos (very little children). I was mysteriously summoned into the church office and handed some pillows and the red suit and white beard. I protested -- my castellano isn´t good enough and Ana said "All you need to say is "HO HO HO!" Papa Noel is not so ubiquitous in Comodoro as is our Santa is Seattle, where you can meet him in any mall. The kids were amazed that he really indeed know each and every name!
